As you know, ExtraTorrent is trying to keep ET servers alive. Unfortunately, we have no sponsors. ET still shows some popups on the website (sorry for that...) because we need to earn something to support our servers and website.
Recently, a part of ExtraTorrent community launched a VPN called by Trust.Zone VPN for safe torrenting. This is a bit experimental project. But it cares about safety of ET members and every downloader.
What's a VPN?
It's a tool that hides your IP address and your identity, it encrypts traffic and has no logging, so, your IP address will never be revealed and you will be 100% anonymous while torrenting. Government or your ISP can't track your activity. No more any copyright infringement notices from your ISP and government agencies! With a VPN, you are free to download any files you need without any risk.
Trust.Zone has founded by the part of ExtraTorrent community. The tool has 3 days FREE trial period. If period ends, unfortunately, the service asks for money from you but..... our partners tried to make it as CHEAP as possible - you can catch Spring SALE offer specially for ExtraTorrent Fans for only $3.33/mo (click here) - it's the cheapest price among all popular VPN providers...
Have you tried Trust.Zone VPN?
If so, do you have a minute to leave a feedback? Don't hesitate to share your opinion RIGHT NOW! Let’s make torrenting safer!

Is there any free alternative at all?

AH! A SITE OWNED VPN ... why didn't they mention this before, instead of just blasting us with ADS in ARTICLES with false claims ('Popcorn Time' article ... "trustzone is free" ... yeah RIGHT ...NOT!)?
As it is, the ONLY advantage I can see to Trustzone is SLIGHTLY cheaper prices than MANY (NOT ALL) of the others (and it's usually less than $1/month difference), but the others are all faster (and some are even CHEAPER). Over all prices are average, and available services is standard ... there's NOTHING to make THIS VPN stand out among all the OTHER VPN's.
Try comparing the TOP VPN's and make YOUR OWN CHOICE ... instead of 'spectator' shoving THIS choice down your throat.
Check out these sites: 3wDOTTop10BestVpnDOTcom, 3wDOTbestvpnDOTcom/comparison-tool, whatismyipaddressDOTcom/vpn-comparison
There are OTHER VPN's out there that are P2P capable, and a few of them are even CHEAPER than Trustzone (ibVPN, and PrivateInternetAccess) ... why not give US the option to CHOOSE? (TZ is $7.99/Mo billed monthly, ibVPN starts at $4.95/mo billed monthly or $3.08/Mo billed yearly)
Crash1, thx for your response. The links to other comparison websites are highly appreciated.
Of course, any visitor is free to choose the best vpn he needs. Trust.Zone is not a single VPN in the world. You're absolutely right!
PIA and ibvpn are VPN services which prices are similar to Trust.Zone. But other thousands VPNs offer higher prices, aren't?
ibvpn basic plan support a single connection only. You have to pay much more if you need 5 simulateneous connections: $14.58. Meanwhile, Trust.Zone offers 5 connection for 3.99.
PIA offers 17+ country locations only (meanwhile Trust.Zone offers 25+)
So, everyone has an option to choose!
Private Internet Access
BEST VPN on the net Gaurnteed!!!!
Google it.... read up on it and when you have found out that it truly is the best , SIGN UP!!
Well to save proxy jumping on unreliable servers to get files past ISP and government blocks I have been testing ZenMate a firefox add-on it`s free and has 5 alternate countries to choose from ,its simple to use and free(the operative word for most),I would not recommend using it to upload files but for a free pass to get torrent files it works no problem.
Those that wish to upload and have faith in the vpn servers not being jacked or raided by the man or even in some cases being the Man then there is a wide ranging choice www.vpntopten.com/ the choices and reviews of the top ten,it is also wise in seeking these vpn`s to check their services like Smart DNS for streaming geo blocked videos etc so as to get the best for your money. (:^D)

Browsec is a free addon for google chrome free
Much to consider,as an uploader I am already spending money to share.
I dont have a paypal or anything like that.
I have made it clear publicly that I will not seek, ask for, or otherwise accept compensation for sharing.
I stated that, and unlike the unprincipled and unscrupulous I will not back away from that position.
So we shall see how things go.
But this much I will say if my overhead rises, I will be forced to reevaluate my torrent/file sharing program.
And that saddens me.
The money wins again, all others lose.
just tried out trustzone. i must admit it is not the slowest vpn, but it aint the fastest either. i barely made 500 kb/s dl speed. thats simply too slow for me. im allways downloading remuxes and sheit and i simply cant wait that long for a dl to finish. but for browsing and dlìng smaller files i guess its an ok vpn

Thanks to all contributors above - the scene for U/L & D/L seems to be set for changes. Just like a game of chess, they make a move and now it's our turn. If Oz is anything to go by our gov't is implementing what a lot of other countries are probably thinking of .... dubious reputation. Still, we do have a reputation of mimicking the UK and that is exactly what is happening:(
I do not use a VPN, i live in the UK. My ISP blocks websites so use proxies instead, never had any problems, any threatening letters, and i download a lot of stuff. I'm not sure that a VPN would be right for me.
My experience with Avast secureline YPN has been a positive one, comes with a 3 day free trial, required no installation other than an icon to click on and my torrents fly down, don't take my word for it go and see for yourself, hope this can help some.
im no computer expert, but ive come to trust and admire the ET site admins, so hooked up Trust Zone the first time I saw the recommendation , and it has delivered everything promised, thanks Guy's/ Gals ,I cant tell you how much I appreciate the efforts you go to ensure my, and others entertainment, be assured i'm sending quite a few people your way! and i'm sure each of those will be doing same !

about "Webrtc Leaks" and "DNS Leaks")thanks for this very important info. I was shocked

I fixed it by installing the "No Script" app into the Mozilla Firefox Browser.
A thousand thanks.

i'm happy with trust.Zone vpn I had 4 hackers try to hit my pc with there programs & none of them could get my IP So I paid for a full year just because it made me feel a little safer then none at all & there's no lagging that I have noticed & i'm just a Downloader The Price was about the same as most others the only ones costing less had torrents blocked So far I give it a 8/10 rating !
As far as your ISP knowing that you are using a vpn, this should help clear that part up.
Depends on the VPN protocol. PPTP can be blocked by your ISP because it works on a single port and uses GRE packets.
OpenVPN however can not be blocked as it runs on any ports and protocols (tcp/udp).
If OpenVPN is configured to work on TCP port 443 than your ISP will only see something which will look like you are browsing a website with https (secure connection) like gmail, yahoo mail, paypal, ebay, and many others.
I use a new browser called Maxthon Cloud Browser. It is quicker than the other browsers and has its own proxy mask.
Yes VPN's are a good option but unfortunately is not an alternative for everybody. This is why Ive been saying for years ET should be made into an invite only site/private tracker. Ive recently moved locations and changed isp's and don'y want to chance getting a copyright notice so I use private sites a lot more often now,but always visit ET to see latest stuff. But what Ive done when I do wanna download off ET/public trackers is use my iphones internet service on my pc rather then my home internet service, managed to stay under the radar by doing that. And I really never use the net on my mobile phone anyways so least it comes in handy for something

its ok having a vpn , but what you really need for ultimate protection from torrenting is a seedbox, , use both for the most secure protection, as a vpn on its own wont give you total security...
This is dumb, why would you pay for this? Why don't 10 people in 10 different countries set up and bounce the ips? This concept has been around since the beginning of the internet and uses the basic ftp.exe program included in windows. What a sham.
Ive been using Hide all IP since I d/l one here on ET. I paid year sub of $36.00 au and it passed the WebTRC and DNS Leaks tests today. Torrent speeds are the same as before. I recommend it.

Why don't all you people download Real Hide IP from ExtraTorrent or any other torrent site. I comes complete with the pass key to activate it and it doesn't have a monthly fee. Before I turned on Real Hide IP, I typed into Google, what is my ip and Google showed my correct ip address. Then I chose the country where I wanted my ip to show, asked Google what my ip address is and it displayed my fake ip address. Before I started using Real Hide IP, I was receiving numerous e-mail from Verizon warning me to stop downloading movies. They even reduced my speed considerably for 3 days. After I downloaded and installed the program, the e-mails stopped. TRUST ME, IT WORKS AND IT DOESN'T COST A MONTHLY CHARGE. It also has numerous countries you can choose from.

To fix the DNS or WebRTC Leaks in chrome, install this small extension:
Thats it, no need to configure anything, it will stop the leaks automatically..
And about the VPN, I'm surprised that no one has suggested "Hola" here. Its P2P based, so its free and works perfectly.
There's a paid option too, that gives some additional functionality.
I've been so satisfied with their service that I recently bought 2 year license. Just give it a try...
@ nipunb. It might work. after reading part of what it does, could be false. Not sure I would trust it.

Hi all, google "5-best-vpn-providers-for-2015" for a recent comparison of VPN services. I was with PIA for 2 years, thinking I was protected, but a month ago, I received emails from HBO about downloading some copyrighted material, linked to my real IP address. As it turns out, the home base of VPN companies is VERY IMPORTANT, and PIA is based in the US, which makes them subject to Patriot act, etc. I sent PIA a message on their "customer service online chat" thingy, but how shocking, never got a response...
I decided to go with a more expensive and renowned service (ExpressVPN, the 1st one in the classment).
Before signing up, check the address of the VPN company first (the headquarters, not the various servers they have).
That's my advice. I hope this helps.
I just use tether.com and im in Australia no issues my details are kept secret as are my downloads are encrypted before they get to me so i don't have this issue but if i was to support vpn i would do something to help ET as its best site ever.

As a user of ET I truly appreciated the site for the excellent job is doing so far. without this and other sites out there there will no be no way to stay on top of the latest torrents. So in appreciation the least thing we can do is to thank for all this torrents. I am personally using another VPN service and so far so good no complains about it..but in the future if I'd need protection while downloading any torrents I will use the ET vpn, I least I'd be contributing somehow to keep this great site alive! Long life to ET!! Tank you very much!!!

People remember, what ET is asking for is support of the site. There are no claims of TRUST.ZONE being the best, fastest, or even the cheapest. Just that it is comparable to others while supporting ET. I don't possess a credit card nor do I have paypal, but if there were an alternative way to do so I believe I'd be incline to support a torrent provider that I enjoy. However I do agree that speed is also an issue and while my current d/l is not blindingly quick in any sense of the word being less than 500 kb continuously would become a major pain
OK Peeps Before I show my respect to those who deserve it,to all you spoilt bastards who think everything in life Is free WAKE UP!By downloanding ANY kind of torrents you are supporting the cause of free expressionism on the web and by dissin people who use up their free time and in many cases there own money you are instantly disagreeing with ur own feelings that Is not good for your own being.Give respect where respect Is due!.
As for supporting Extratorrent absolutely!Been with these friends for 6yrs and over that period never ever had a major problem I think I've had one torrent that has had a virus which was solved straight away, the staff are friendly and always there to help anyone. Now I'm not gonna lie to say I had some little doubts about Trustzone thats only natural as everyone knows what some (hhmmmmm thinking of what pirates would call filth!)As we all know webcams are hacked so whats to stop ur computer microphone Isn't?
So as far as trust goes not once have I ever heard of extratorrent Vip users having any problem with money (you know where Im going with this) issues.
So when Et recommends this VPN site I thought hey why not sites are going down more and more these days, and yeah I want to 100% keep the vibe going. So I tried the one day trail and am very Impressed everything Is easy and clear to follow and so I've subscribed to 1 year's service, why not! for the price of one night's drink I get a years protected privacy on my computer, plus all free torrents as usual karma works if you know when to give and when to recieve it!I recommend TrustZone good luck peeps and remember ET the place to be!!

PEOPLE READ THE ARTICLE TRUST.ZONE BELONGS TO ET! LOOK E/T NOT ONLY GIVES US PROPER TORRENTS BUT IT TAKES DOWN BAD ONES AS WELL. UNLIKE OTHER SITES IT CARES THAT WE DON'T GET DODGY TORRENTS! DO YOU ALL HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY GOES INTO MAKING THIS SITE, MONITORING THIS SITE, KEEPING THE SITE FREE AND ALSO INFORMING US OF ANY INFO IT COMES ACROSS THAT WE MAY NEED OR WOULD LIKE TO KNOW?
BEING BED-RIDDEN MY LIFE NOW REVOLVES AROUND WATCHING TV & MOVIES ON MY PC! LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE, FOR MULTIPLE REASONS, I DON'T HAVE THE LUXURY OF GOING TO A CINEMA, SO E/T HAS RESCUED ME FROM A DULL MISERABLE LIFE TO A FULL ONE WHERE I CAN NOT ONLY SEE GREAT FILMS & SHOWS BUT I CAN ENJOY FILMS WITH MY FAMILY AGAIN!!...............SO
I FOR ONE AM VERY GRATEFUL TO E/T! FOR ALL E/T DOES FOR ME, MY FAMILY & MY FRIENDS...I THANK YOU E/T!!!!!!! AND TO THOSE WHO ARE WHINING ON HERE...TRY TO HAVE A LITTLE GRATITUDE WILL YA???
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO USE TRUST.ZONE THEN DON'T BUT AT LEAST BE DECENT ENOUGH TO SEND A FEW BOBS TO E/T BY WAY OF BITCOIN TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT. AND DON'T SAY" I DON'T KNOW HOW OR ITS TOO COMPLICATED "CAUSE I'M OLD AS DIRT AND IF I CAN LEARN HOW TO DO IT(WITH THE HELP OF E/T MODERATORS BTW)THEN ANYONE CAN!!!!!!!!
DO YOU REALIZE THAT THEY TAKE A VERY BIG RISK IN GIVING US THIS SITE?? THEY COULD BE SHUT OR PROSECUTED......THEY TAKE THAT RISK FOR EVERYONE THAT COMES HERE. I KNOW THIS WORLD HAS BECOME A CESSPOOL OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HATEFUL, EVIL, UNGRATEFUL, SELFISH PR**KS WHO WOULDN'T EVEN HELP THEIR NEIGHBOURS IN AN EMERGENCY, BASICALLY SPINELESS, SOULLESS A-HOLES WHO DON'T GIVE A TOSS ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES>>
BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT WE E/T LOVERS ARE NOT A PART OF THAT CROWD CAUSE I'VE MET TONS OF REALLY GREAT PEOPLE ON HERE WHO HAVE HELPED ME THRU A LOT OF CRAP AND THEY NEVER ONCE MADE ME FEEL STUPID FOR NOT KNOWING. SO THANK YOU E/T, ITS MODERATORS AND ITS ADMIN FOR ALL YOU HAVE GIVEN TO ME AND MY FAMILY!

THEY ARE SENT TO THE GOVERNMENT IN WHICH YOU LIVE SO WHATEVER YOU DO ...REMEMBER..DO NOT BOOKMARK ON CHROME E.T. OR E.T. WITH THE PROXYSITE OR FOR THE TRUST.ZONE. REMEMBER EVERTHING YOU DO IS BEING MONITORED AND STORED...TO BE USED FOR DATA OR FOR PROSECUTION. [EVEN THOU THE REAL CRIMINALS ARE THE MOVIE COMPANIES & CINEMAS FOR THE PRICES CHARGED!]|
AS FAR AS THE ISSUE OF THE NAME OF TRUST.ZONE......BETTER TO JUST CLICK ON THE BLUE-HIGHLIGHTED ADDRESS AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE.
***REMEMBER BEING FOREWARNED IS BEING FOREARMED!****
HAPPY TORRENTING!!!!! LOL
While a good idea for many. My ISP doesn't care about which sites I download from. I have no limits to what I download. From what I have gleaned from the news. It looks like the U.S. public has few internet options in terms of service providers. Mine is a small but has been in business many years and I pay 34/month for 10/1. and that is enough for me.
If Extratorrent had a way to contribute that wasn't bitcoin I would be glad to contribute.
I do wish to keep Extratorrent around. Too many great sites have gone down.
Can you create a Paypal acount?
I know you are correct Frosty that one can buy and give bitcoin by some simple research. I personlly don't want to use bitcoin. Don't hate me.
I don't think Movie Companies and cinemas are criminals for what they charge.
It takes a lot of money to make a Hollywood film. While I don't go to the movies for reasons other than price. I usually buy the Blu Ray Copy when it comes out. I support the Movie Industry in general as they make movies I like.
But some people can't afford to purchase DVD's, or Blu Rays, so finding movies here is a great thing.
All the best
For anyone debating getting Google Fiber....you may want to read this first.
I agree with robbow123, instead of spamming us with this stuff setup a paypal account and I will give too something

First it sounds like you worry about too many things. I have depression and can relate in a way. But don't worry about the things you do. I am not afraid of the government. I have written to intelligence agencies telling them to check up on my doings. I don't do anything and it seems they just ignore it.
There are far too many organizations not looking out for those it's supposed too. And there are good people trying to get justice and sometimes succeeding.
But even though I know how to use bit coin I won't.
I don't care about being untraceable. I doubt Paypal would do anything except take their percentage.
I agree with reargunner who wisely wrote "I agree with robbow123, instead of spamming us with this stuff setup a paypal account and I will give too something"

Currently with HMA VPN (yearly subscriber) and am not happy that the do keep loggin details. HMA has claimed that they only keep this information for about 2-4 weeks and then deletes it.
So am interested in alternative like Trust.Zone VPN and I was just wandering if -
1. Are there any plans on increase Server in the near future
2. Can any1 comment on how the speed is with Trust.Zone VPN in Oz when torrenting? (have noted comment #13 but don't know which country his from)
3. Can any1 list a top 3 VPN provider that does not Log and are consistently fast?
Thanks in advance

Just subscribed - very good communication, easy to deal with + easier to use and much faster than Witopia servers - Highly recommend!
Subscribed. this works great with windows...This does not work well at all with Ubuntu 15.04. L2TP/IPSec does not install as openswan is not a package option for this Ubuntu version (Current). OpenVPN installs and oddly worked mostly well during the trial period but now will not connect to any servers after paying up as it now "times out". A fresh Ubuntu 15.04 did not correct the problem. No answer or acknowledgement from the Support e-form yet. re-setting VPN Credentials also did not work. So great for Windows users (good speed on ADSL) but not so for me and my OS of choice.
I am using a proxy for now. If I keep getting letters from Comcast I will use this service. It may not be the best. It may not be the cheapest. But it benefits a site that keeps pirating alive and to me, that's all the information I need. errrr Big Papi needs...that fkn pirate lol

trust.zone website is blocked here like most VPN sites
I've been reading all of these comments. I have never had need for an vpn or reason to hide my isp.
Many years ago when I began torrenting I received a few letters from my ips (verizon) regarding copyright infringement but it never went any further than that. I never got blocked or throttled or threatened to be cut loose by verizon.
But, lately, I have become concerned when as I watch the private tracker torrent sites get shut down, and as I read about other countries' isp's blocking torrent sites. I live in the US and so far over here, we do not seem to be affected by some of these issues that you other folks are experiencing. Not yet anyway.
So, after reading all of these comments and recommendations I went to the ZenMate for Chrome extension and installed it. My isp now appears to be a different set of numbers than my actual address, and I can change it to look like I am surfing from China, or Germany or Hong Kong or Romania. Or the US.
My speeds have not diminished, even though the extension says my speeds will slow unless I get the paid for version. I dont download with the speeds you are all talking about anyway. My top download speeds are about 800 kb's anyway. I have retained those speeds.
So I would say, if you live in the US and use Chrome or Firefox, try the Zenmate extension.
It would appear that my isp has been masked, if anyone were to check, and my speeds remain the same.
I am happy with it. And although Zenmate has only been running on my computer for an hour or so, I feel safer.
I hope this info helps someone, anyone.
Thanks ET, for making me do some research and for making me protect myself.
The Chrome add-on Zenmate doesnt hide my IP address.
When used in conjunction with PIA, the chrome extention 'WebRTC Leak Prevent' keeps my actual IP address hidden. Tested at these two sites: ipleak.net/ perfect-privacy.com/webrtc-leaktest

I'd say, given THOSE numbers, the owners are using US to line their OWN pockets.

Thought Id add my experience with Trust.zone. I used to user Ipredator but decided to give trust.zone a try. So far it seems good and I signed up for a one year contract. Ipredator was costing me 40 bucks for 6 months and trust.zone cost me 45 for a year. Hopefully it keeps working great. It speed seems faster than ipredator as well.
Been using Trust Zone for a few months, was never asked for any ID.Was my way of supporting ETRG.Very satisfied with it up to now.Long live ETRG.
I posted this in the sale post. Thought the initial review would be useful in this thread too, hopefully.
Great sale price. Just signed up for TZ. My PIA subscription is set to expire this month, so I was shopping for new service anyway. Sale price and 10 day money back guarantee convinced me to go for it. Looks like TZ VPN is giving me the full speed available through my ISP, with only 3-5 ms of latency added. Very impressed so far. It is outperforming PIA on connection speed and latency so far, by a lot.
Client looks pretty simple and easy to use. Server selection in the USA is a little odd. TZ website lists 9 US servers, but only provides 5 selections in the client. One of these is a generic selection also. Tried all the servers and ran speedtest. Speedtest displayed odd geographical server locations, almost unconnected to which server I selected. All seemed to perform well, and after cycling through the selections a bit, I found the server with the lowest latency for me. I think after verifying my account through sent email link, the auto-connect generic server paired me with the best selection. The client is very simple and mostly hands off, as stated. However, it looks like every device imaginable is supported, and all the info for power users is easily available.
The broken English on the TZ website leaves something to be desired. So far the service looks great though, and glad to help the community.
Use this, use that. Do this ,do that. Get a vpn, they are gonna give you up.
Buy one,get one for free. Why worry. Be afraid. This one is the one. No its not. If your new would this be confusing? If you been around would this be confusing? The only thing I really can say with accuracy is this debate is maddening and I see no clear path. But 100-1000 others will each have an absolute answer. And on and on.......turn an 8 on its side.....and on and ...

Thank you for your suggestion - a VPN is a great way of masking torrents. I've done my homework and Private Internet Access seems a little more for my taste, but if it turns out otherwise i'll consider trying Trust Zone.
I LOVE EXTRATORRENT so far soooo goooooddddd. . . ^____^
why the hell do u guys keep making the same stupid annoying ad all the time its getting really annoying seeing this stupid ad article every month
1st off, this whole "no logs" claim from most VPNs is BS marketing.
The reason is that say I start one. Just like any website owner, I will probably have to pay hosting companies to run VPN servers, many in other countries. Since I don't run the server, I can say I don't keep logs. But the admin of the server HAS TO. Otherwise, it won't know if you have an account or how much bandwidth you've used etc. The real question is how long they keep them and the extent of logging.
Secondly, I got a full year of Windscribe VPN on a special deal for $12. Yep, $1/mo. and with plenty of servers, an extension, an app, and good speeds for me.
Even without that deal, they provide 2GB of free service per month(10 if you confirm your email- try a masking service like Blur/opayq for that). But their pro service is $9/mo or $90/yr. so not as affordable TZ. But with so many free options like that (there are others) it's getting easier to use free VPN service and just jump around when you use up the free bandwidth.

This VPN or not, adds on site or not, income has to come from somewhere. However you choose to sup fitport ET, and other torrent sites, do choose what fits u best, if it's not with this VPM, then turn off your adblock and/or do bitcoins, and/or whatever possibilities there are, I dunno.
And considering for example, adds, yes, annoying, but look what u get back for it
Well, TrustZone doesn't provide Port Forwarding, what i find essential for torrenting. So i stick with another VPN for the time being.
Here in iran most of torrent sites are accessible and you are free to download torrents as much as you want, no copyright shit.
So many of these comments are pathetic. What a bunch of entitled leeches. Torrenting sites are awesome and anyone who runs one is a hero. If this site's operators are running their own VPN, then we should jump to use it. The only reason I'm not is because I already use one; otherwise, 90% of people commenting here should be praising and asking where they can sign up to do their part instead of whining like entitled children.

I've been looking into VPNs recently and they all appear to have the same problem. They are set up as an all-or-nothing service. Trust.zone appears to have the same problem. Per the FAQ:
How to open incoming port while using Trust.Zone?
Due to security reasons and safety of users port forwarding is disabled.
Sorry, I'm not ready to build a dedicated machine and I have too many connections to my current one to be locking it down. It would be nice if someone would build a client that allowed for easy direction of traffic over VPN or not.

Just signed up for Trust.Zone a few days ago after my landlady mentioned that she had gotten a couple of copyright infringement notices. Previously I had just been using Peerblock and hoping for the best because I have a pretty low income, but being that I get my internet for free in this suite I didn't want her to have to deal with these notices, and it is a heck of a lot cheaper to get a VPN than to start paying for my own high speed internet package.
I did a fair amount of research before deciding to try Trust.Zone. Most of the VPNs I was looking at didn't give a free trial, and in the end that (and the price - most of the top rated ones were a lot more money) was the deciding factor, as I was able to try it and be sure that it didn't have issues with speed and such before spending the money. I was not disappointed. Speed-wise, I can't even tell that I am on a VPN - if the download speed is slower at all it isn't noticeable. There is a server in my area though which likely helps. I also appreciate the fact that I am supporting ExtraTorrent by going this route.
posted by (2017-03-27 01:19:29)
Addition to my last comment - speed definitely is affected with Trust.Zone but it seems like only at certain times of day. I generally download in the morning and there was no noticeable difference then, but when I tried to grab a game tonight (6PM PDT) it was going so slow that the estimated time was one hour for a 100 MB game. When I killed the VPN it took less than 2 minutes to complete. Had this experience the previous day as well.
I'll stick with it since I paid for a year and I mostly download in the morning anyway, but be warned! If I downloaded mainly at other times of day I would probably be asking for my money back.
|Do no try to buy this VPN. I was happy with the free service, but after I tried to purchase a VPN from Trust.Zone. They are trying to commit identity theft on me. Asking for a copy of my bank statement, or a photo ID to verify I am who I say I am. I made the damn purchase, give me my product. Its that simple. Instead they don't accept the info given. Which was a copy of my bank statement (everything blacked out except name, address, and last 4 digits of my card number. Still wasn't enough, they wanted even more personal information. Trust.Zone is a scam, and they are just trying to steal your money. Don't support Trust.Zone. I have tried and tried to contact the appropriate people to give this resolved. I have had no replies, no one has gotten back to me. The only replies I do get are computer automated. Trust.Zone is a rip off and don't you waste your time.||
